"It's the little things in life"

"Its the little things in life." You always hear this said but I think you don't actually know what this means until you become a mom. Once you become a mom and you start to watch your babies grow up, you start to notice the little things and you soon realize that these little things are BIG THINGS.

I'm so excited to have my friend Kristen join us on the blog this week! Kristin is a Christian, a mom of 3, and lives in North Carolina. Currently she and her family are tiny living in a fifth-wheel while she and her hubby renovate an old house they inherited. You definitely need to check out her instagram account, @a_home_for_five, she shares the cutest pictures of her tiny home! Along with being a mom, She is a hairstylist, obsessed with cats and farmhouse and loves everything green & cream! She's pretty amazing!  She shares with us her thoughts on what "the little things in life" are, and I absolutely love her point of view that she shares with us below.

"The little things, the little moments; they aren't little"

Certain moments in our lives are not actually as "little" as they so innocently seem. Let me ask you a question. What remains of these moments once they pass, once they never occur again? The answer is that they become memories. Little, everyday, simple moments end up being the big things we carry in our hearts...long after they've occurred for the last time.

I think back on personal mundane moments....Waking up in the middle of the night to comfort a crying baby who wants nothing more than her momma....

Washing baby bottles...

Seeing my babies each walk for the first time, then run...

Giving toddlers a bath together and being completely soaked by their happy little splashes...

Listening to nursery rhymes and watching preschool cartoons...

Holding tiny, little toddler hands...

Seeing dirty, small hand prints on my just cleaned and polished refrigerator...

Picking up and carrying my children...

Washing my daughters hair for her...

You see, all of these moments are now only memories for me. I didn't know when the last time would take place. They were all seemingly small moments in my everyday life; but now as I look back, I view them as huge moments. Moments that I will cherish and remember forever. Moments that make me think twice about the everyday, mundane. The little things in life are actually pretty big. they are actually quite significant.
